apps edge, love it!

I'm sure that I'm in the minority, however I find the apps Edge very useful. I have my most frequently used apps put in folders on the apps edge so my home screen is very clean.
That way I don't have to reach across to open an app either. It definitely helps that the apps edge is movable vertically, I have moved it to about half way up to minimize accidental touches when I'm typing.

I've never had an edge phone before so this is all new to me. I would have just turned it off according to Andrew's article that I read on here, but I watched a video by mr. mobile and he said that it's sort of useful. I'm very glad that I watched that video.

Glad you're enjoying it! The blogosphere is pretty tough on these extra features but a lot of people really like them.

I love it too, but I'm having a problem with my People Edge. The contacts I have added keep randomly disappearing. They are there and the next time I open it one or more might be gone and I have to re-add.

Can't help you there. The only one I have activated is the apps edge

I agree! one of my favorite modern Samsung features. I hope it never goes away, even when the edge design eventually does!

My favorite Edge app is Smart Select. it allows you to select an area on the screen and, among other things, to extract text.

For example, I selected the first two posts in this thread, extracted the text, and copied it to my clipboard. Here is what it copied:

There is also a button that says Animate which will make an animated gif from video you're watching! Al from the edge of your screen! Pretty cool stuff!
