Apps have not updated in 3 weeks

I just noticed that none of my apps have updated in 3 weeks. I've got 66 apps 11 of which are non Google apps and none have updated. I'm logged into my account so I can install new, delete and reinstall apps. I've not changed any app settings, apps update as they come available and I see a notification. While I was in the Google Play Store app to clear cache (didn't help) I went into Advanced then App Details and it says Items not found Retry...is that a problem?

I'm going to assume you tried restarting the phone. Could be an account issue of some kind.

Yes I did a phone restart. Thought about logging out and back into the account but not sure I know where the proper place to log out and in is at.

The Play Store page for each app shows the date and version number of the most recent update, so you can check whether there are in fact updates you're missing. If there are updates you're missing it's very puzzling why you're not getting notifications for (or if set, automatic) updates.

long press the Google play store app one more time and clear settings then FORCE CLOSE before exit out and see what happens.

Could be Christmas break and no updates being available. There was about 2 weeks time where I only had 2 or 3 updates total, expecting quite a few starting today again.

It's the holiday break. I haven't had app updates in 3 weeks, but finally yesterday I got one.

I'm in Recovery Mode but there is no Wipe cache partition I'll do a hard reset this coming weekend.

Yes. Since android M or O there is no cache partition anymore in recovery due to the partition being allocated for system updates in the background while you keep using your phone. It is a lot quicker to update now because of that..

Are you talking system update or app updates ? System updates are slower if you ask me . I figured yesterdays system update would take about 30 mins . Wrong almost an hour and that wasn't even a large update . App updates fly .

You are correct but you can still use your device while it's updating. The old method disabled your device while updating and optimizing.

Yes. System OS update. It is slower because it builds it on the second partition, the. When it restarts, it switches to the newly created one from what I read. This way, you don't have to wait to use the phone while updating as it happens in the background. The Optimising apps was done once the system reboted in the past, and it also took time.

I like it this way better.
