Apps keep opening by themselves

I've been having a problem with my HTC EVO 4g LTE opening apps and sucking my battery. I'm not even using the apps. There are even apps I don't have downloaded on the phone. My problem is I got the task killer and the apps are still open and the task killer says there is non open but the task manager on th phone says a bunch of apps are on. So how do I get these apps to stay close when I press them to close.

if you are not on eclair, you do not need a task killer. They may be there in memory, but they are just waiting. If they are not syncing or using the GPS, they are not taking up any battery life. If the memory is needed, the OS will kill them off for good

When I got my new EVO LTE I downloaded all my apps from my Google account. One of those was Advanced Task Killer which I have had on my OGEVO and 3d but I started having problems of diffrent kinds on my new LTE. I had read a post about the ATK having a conflict with the built in Task Killer on the LTE that was causing a lot of the problems. I uninstalled the ATK and the majority of my problems went away. Still having ticks with the weather widget though. Sprint says they are working on it. Just a suggestion, if that is not your problem then just re-install the app.
