Apps keep turning on...

Last night before i went to sleep i used Advance app killer to shut down all apps that were running. This morning at work, i turned on advanced app killer, and i noticed all these programs that were running! I know android turns on things on its own, but things like news, sprint navigation, qik, stocks, mp3 store, and many more were turned on as well.

Is this normal?

Does having these apps open drain battery?

Sense loads those programs for quick launching. They aren't doing anything, they're suspended (not using any battery life). You can turn off stocks and news though if you don't use them, by going into your accounts in settings and turning off the sync there.
