Apps not porting over from Google Pixel 3XL?

So just got my S21 Ultra yesterday and am getting around to setting it up. Using Smartswitch on both devices via USB. Selected all apps, from "all time". Took about an hour.

But very few apps actually made it to my S21. I.e., I don't have TinyCamPro, my nine email app, clash of clans, ooni, a sports app, Duo mobile, etc etc.

I'm not even sure if anything actually moved over other than my email accounts.

Is that really how Smart Switch works? I thought I'd be able to have all my apps moved over and not have to start from scratch!

Some apps won't move over. Keep in mind even when apps move, apps requiring login/authentication will require you to login again. For this reason, I don't use smart switch to move apps. I setup phone by logging into my Google and Samsung accounts but do not restore. Then, I use playstore to download all apps, which you can easily find using the library tab. Then you can use smart switch to move your old phone config, phone log, messages, etc. For me this approach works better.
