Go into the battery settings and close any open apps with one button

What is the rate at which your mail syncs and checks for messages? Maybe adjust that. By your post, it sounds like it's only your mail app producing this error message. Dig through your app settings. I don't currently use the Samsung mail app, so I can't look for myself.

Definitely abnormal. I always have dozens of apps open and in the month I've been using the Note9, I have never seen that message even once. You should not have to close any apps manually.

Do you use (or have you installed) a third-party email app? If so, perhaps it's faulty. Or perhaps your phone has some malware that's accessing your email, maybe mass-distributing spam or porn.

How do you check the rate?

Yes...happened to me yesterday on my N9 and it has happened twice today on hubbys S9+. I check and run device management in a regular basis. He not as much.

Edit: I found it. It's set to every 15 minutes. Is auto better since it says it'll just sync when an email is received?

What is "Sync Period" 2 weeks?

A little while back I remember a bug in the Fitbit app was causing the same error.

It means that only emails received in the list 2 weeks will be synced. If there are older emails, they will not sync. The emails are still on the server, just not automatically synced.

Processing email uses negligible CPU. You should be able to synchronize every five seconds without making a dent in your processor capacity. Something else is going wrong here.
