Apps question

Was looking at the apps...Settings -->Apps-->All and noticed there are some duplicates and am wondering if this is as it should be. The following list all show a second entry and all have a different version number except the Android System, both of those have the same version number.

~Android System
~Bluetooth Share
~Friend Stream
~Stocks

I don't even use Bluetooth Share, Friend Stream or Stocks. There are also three People apps listed but I'm thinking that is possibly because I have three Gmail accounts, maybe ??
I chose "disable" on both of the Stocks apps...and they totally disappeared from the list of apps. Now I don't know if I've boogered something up by doing that so I'm leaving the others I don't use alone until I know better.
Anybody know why the dup's?

To your first point, I believe the second entries are the widget counterparts to the apps. I went through and disabled a bunch of stuff, and often I disabled the "widget" part of the app, e.g., calendar, etc.

Heck, I even disabled Swipe because I do not care about keyboards generally and prefer the least memory intensive. I even disabled Sprint Zone somehow, you know, because I could.

Now I would love to know which of those three "people" apps are the widgets so I could disable them as well. (Generally I am leaving "real" apps alone because they have services associated with them - like clock, disable it and calendar gets messed up - but I figure the "extra" stuff can be disabled.)

I do not know why your stocks has disappeared, I see mine in the list. Remember, disabled apps get moved to the very bottom of the "All" tab. But you knew that

Well color me stupid, I did not know that the disabled apps get moved to the bottom of the list. Thank you! That solves that one for me and you may be correct on the duplicate instances showing up as well, although Friend Stream and Stocks do have widgets listed along with the two apps. Thanks again, sabbys.
