Apps switcher simply not showing up

I opened multiple apps and chrome tabs and tried to hit square button of android lollipop hoping to get apps cards including chrome tabs which I can switch from one to another. But it seems that apps switcher simply refused to show up. I bought brand new Nexus 6 an I have faced this issue. Is this a software glitch or is their any explicit setting that I am simply missing. Now I am unable to find any use of that square button in Lollipop.

Your video is private, so can't exactly see what's going on. Try rebooting your phone (power off, and power back on). If that doesn't help, try to wipe your cache in recovery. Last option - factory reset (it will wipe your data).
