apps that cause the incredible to not be able to sleep

What is Battery Left?

Services = Battery drain

Also, when you're looking on the Systempanel screen, look to the left of each app, and theres a grey bar for certain apps (this is the CPU load its using), which ones are showing grey?

Yeah try without and see if it makes any difference. The next thing to go would be handscent but that shouldn't be a problem since I know many people that use it.

Do you see the grey bar on the left of each app?

lol its not battery left, lots of people use that

From what I can tell thats the service he has running that is not a system service, and considering he has tried hard resetting, I'd say its worth a try at this point otherwise he'll just keep having near 1:1 ratios on his awake/up time and 5 hour battery life's.

Much more likely to be something calling on a System service than Battery Left.

Has the OP tried the "closing calendar" trick?

Agreed. I have been using Battery Left for a couple of weeks and watched my Full Battery Life grow from 12 hours to about 16. Most of that efficiency increase results from being conscientious about turning Bluetooth and WiFi off at times there is no way I will be using those function. My awake time is less than 5:1 which I think is okay with my use which is heavy email, internet and maybe an hour of phone calling a day.

Honestly, thats fine if you don't think its that app, however can you come up with a better solution? I'm trying to throw the kitchen sink at him right now to narrow everything down. Just trying to do a process of elimination (I'm not doubting any of you that it isn't that app, however IMO at this point its worth a try)

So, I finished bump charging the 1750 about 4 hours ago, and noticed that I was still at 90%. That's a wild improvement.

After spending 4 hours moving my gf's stuff into my apartment, I checked my battery stats.

Up Time 3:52

Awake Time 2:06

Something changed, but it wasn't Battery Left. I reinstalled it before I started moving. Clearly my problem was solved by something I did. What it could be, I have no idea.

that is still alot really. Something elese is going on. unless you did use the phone alot

Right now I don't know what to tell you. You have something going on that's obvious. Take the battery out and leave it out for a solid minute. The power it back up. Don't know man. I'll keep digging for you.

What apps are running in the background?

5-8:1 maybe its hard to say but 2:1 ratio is alot unless you are constantly on the phone

ok, so I left it off the charger last night while I slept because the up/awake issue seemed to have been halfway solved.

This morning my battery stats are:

Up time 13:22:27

Awake time 5:41:01

Partial Wake Usage - Since Last Unplugged

Android System 18m 3s

Mail 5m 4s

Music 2m 31s

Calendar 1m 13s

Google 30s

Dialer 22s

Media 2s

Internet 1s

This is leaps and bounds better than before, but if some of you are getting 8:1 and 5:1 up:awake times, then clearly I've still got work to do.

13 hrs up, and 5 hrs awake is a good start, much better than before. Just curious, what about Flickr or any IMing apps? Are you using either?
