apps that have no place??

I see that in settings/applications/manage applications/all/ there is car panel app & dock mode. don't know what they are in there for because they dont show up in the regular app tray, does anybody here know??

Per HTC the dock mode is suppose to allow landscape support to the home screens like ASOP Gingerbread. The car mode issue is being researched now because both Verizon and HTC were unaware that it had been eliminated. So far what is being said is to hard reset and see if that fixes everything. Did anyone else lose the gallery app during the update?

I know that my brother lost his gallery app and I took a mouthful after I forced him to update. So I hope HTC fixes his soon our I may never live this down

The gallery app is going to take a hard reset to get back mine did the same thing. I've been pushed up to a higher tier on the car mode. And it seems as though no one at Verizon PR HTC know what all was included in this uupdate. After spending a total of about 4 hours yesterday going back and forth between vzw level 2 techs and HTC's tech support all I know is that know one knows what dock mode is or how to get it to work. The car mode app is gone but is isn't or is suppose to be. How can the update have been written and finalized on June 3 get pushed mid July and no one knows anything about what is on it or what it is supposed to do.

Ill try the hard reset. And Verizon techs never no a thing the update could have been finalized last year and they would be clueless. When I called the otherday they wanted to know.why I didn't update my tbolt t o honeycomb they are clueless

HTC reps are just as bad. Don't get me wrong they tried hard to answer my questions and I am so thankful for that. If it the Flyer tablet didn't have a sense overlay on it I would probably sell my Xoom and go buy it just because in the two phone calls I had with them they gave me more information than Motorola has since I bought my Xoom on launch weekend. It's just frustrating because no one seems to know what the deal is with any of that. Be sure to sync the phone with Google one last firm before the hard reset because with it being on Gingerbread you will get almost if not all of your Google Marketplace apps back automatically as long as you have the backup with Google selected along with all your saved wifi settings .
