Apps that help speed up gps lock in

so it takes like 5 mins for my thunderbolt gps to lock in
i am going out of town and want my gps to be fast and reliable
are there any apps that help the gps lock issue

Gps status might help

Did u apply the last update as it helped the gps work more effective

I had success with GPS Status. Locks fairly quickly now.

no it wont download
it says no data connection when i do
and i also tried the 1x trick and no luck

i'm not speaking for everyone, but the update i think made mine worse. before it would take 1-2 minutes but now it takes upwards to 5 minutes for a gps lock.

I had success with GPS Status. Locks fairly quickly now.

+1 to gps status. It fixed same prob for me.

I use GPS Test, but it's a personal preference. From the menu you can clear and restart the GPS. However, since the latest TB update, I have only had to do it once.

Is that GPS Status + toolbox? I was referred to GPS FIX and it was of no help to me what so ever. Still without the update and, to tell the truth, loving it.

Yes you are correct. I've actually used GPS Fix first but found that to be of no help, then i tried GPS status and toolbox. So far that seems to do the trick.

Although I still get a fairly quick lock, I keep losing all satellites every few seconds for just a second. Not enough to make my GPS useless but it is very annoying!

Both fix and status have not helped me but I have my mobile hotspot without the update so I guess that is a trade off I can deal with.

Gps fix worked for me. Just did the ota on my wifes tb and the gps now locks on immediately.
