Android Central Question

Hi

My storage size says that apps are using 6.7G, while currentapps doesn't add up to 3G.
I tried different cleaners like CCleaner and Clean Master, but non show what's eating my storage, they only show the actual used space.
Anyone knows what is occupying my storage ?

1. Look at the "developer" name for Clean Master. Then uninstall all apps "developed" by them. Cheetah is known to steal data and "phone home" with it.

2. You may know the size of an apk file, but that's not the size of the app. And it doesn't include the data and cache. What's eating your storage is things in hidden files - like all the pictures you see on websites. Like any pictures you see in your apps. Many other hidden things. Many things you can't get to. (Look in / (hat's the name of the root folder on the file). Go to data. There's nothing in it, right? Yes, there is - at least one more folder named data - which you can't see if the phone isn't rooted, because you don't have read rights to the first data folder. All your apps keep their data in /data/data, in some folder they own. And some of it can grow quite large. Emails. Texts. Contacts. Game play. Etc.
