Apps won't restore

I just got the G2X today and while all seems well so far, when I associated it with my Google account, not all my apps restored. I thought that Android apps are tied to your account and not phone? Anyway to get my apps back without re-downloading them all manually? I am coming from a Nexus 1. Thanks all.

No, the Google Account will just remember which one you downloaded/paid for. You still have to go through and reinstall them unless you had an application that was capable of doing all that for you.

Hmm, it definitely only remembered a fraction of the apps I downloaded/paid for. When I've had to reset my N1 a few times, all my apps always restored and downloaded themselves from the market on first boot.

Did you have your applications stored on the SD card before?
