Apps?

I've noticed on the Galaxy Apps store that there are hardly any apps for the Gear S3. Is there a reason for that? Does anyone know when apps might become available for the Gear S3? All I see are available watch faces and no apps.

All s2 apps work too. There aren't many features that are unique to s3.

I'm particularly interested in the airline apps because you can get your boarding pass on your phone. Most airlines support the Apple Watch but not the Gear S3. I'm also interested in Whatsapp, Viber, and Facebook Messenger. It would be nice to have these apps on the Gear S3.

Funny, my wife has been trying to find a Facebook app for her Apple watch. She wants the full app on her watch. I'm like uhm... Why? I don't recall her answer if there was one lol.

I can't remember if I had the Facebook app on my Apple Watch. I don't think I did. Your wife probably wants the Facebook app on her Apple Watch so she can check posts, notifications, etc. I wanted the Apple Watch mainly because of Apple Pay but what I quickly found out was that most places refuse to accept Apple Pay and I never really wore the watch so I sold it.

Folks say a smartphone can do everything that a smartwatch can, but mobile payment is one of the use cases which a watch does better than a phone. And MST is a necessary breakthrough for widespread adaptation.
