April 1st Software Update out.

Weird I don't see 5G UC on Tmobile unlocked. Maybe it's only for Tmobile firmware?

Anyone with T-mobile - unlocked phone report back?.

Received 4/1 update Unlocked on T-Mobile.

I'm also on unlocked & don't have the 5G UC. You're probably correct that it only appears on the T-Mobile firmware.

I had assumed it was just the unlocked firmware using generic 5G text to display on the screen. Each carrier has their own 5G language they like to use (e.g. 5G UC, 5G UW, 5G Plus, etc) and it doesn't look like the specific verbiage is baked into the unlocked firmware. So it's just a display issue.

To be sure, you can check using the "LTE Discovery" app or by dialing *#0011# on the keypad. If you see an n41, n258, n260, or n261 band indicated, then you're on T-Mobile's 5G UC network.

I've just installed my 3rd update in April alone. The April security update followed by 2 others a few weeks a part. Today's update fixed the super annoying ghost touch issue that was causing apps in the bottom row/dock to keep opening by themselves. This was only happening at night weirdly and turning off dark mode helped. But now the latest update has fixed it properly after only being introduced with the last update 🤯
