I have enabled Developer options and selected APTX codec on my phone but when connected to an APTX blue tooth speaker I don't see APTX showing for the speaker and the sound quality is no good. If I use an old Pixel 2 the speaker shows APTX and the sound is way better. VERY disappointed as LG was supposed to offer the best sound quality for an android phone. Suggestions?

I had similar issue with headphones. I changed the name of the head phones by adding 'NO_AAC' at the end of the headphones and it made it use APTX.

Apologies, should add '_NOAAC'. As an example, here are my headphones:

Avantree TWS120_NOAAC

Yea, I already tried that fix. APTX doesn't appear in the settings portion of my aptx headphones. It works great on my old Pixel 2 but not on this phone.
