Are all Note 9 phones the same?

Looking to upgrade from a note 8 and in shopping (letgo, Craigslist etc.) I notice a lot of them are att. I have Verizon. As long ast they are unlocked and all of the note 9 internals the same or are there differences between the carriers (radio, bands etc)

Hi, no not all same
Some carrier version have more bloat and take features out, unlocked versions have less bloat but dont have some of carrier version stuff.
Different storage size is differ ram the higher storage had more ram 8 vs 6. International version totally different chip .

Ok, so if I have verizon and add a verizon sim to an ATT bought phone will it work as well as an verizon bought phone?

Verizon & sprint are CDMA phones. t mobile & ATT are GSM.Dont think it's easy to change sims . ??????

Is the Att phone unlocked? then yes

Thanks for the info. I don't mean to sound dense I just want to make sure I don't drop several hundred dollars for nothing. So I can take an unlocked ATT phone and basically flash it with Verizon software and it will work fine? What about what @Bildriver stated above?

No problem, you dont have to flash it if its unlocked all carrier firmware are interchangeable, once you put your Verizon sim it will load your Verizon provisions, same if you were to put a tmobile sim it would load tmobile provisions .
