So I went to exchange my 16gb 10.1 Gray @ Best Buy. I was one of those who fell victim to the oil spot under the screen thing. I ended up getting a 32gb gray instead. I booted it up and it too has an unlocked bootloader (oh my 16gb was unlocked too). So I'm just wondering if ALL of the retails are coming out unlocked?

Mine has it too. 32g grey from Best Buy. It almost seemed like all the units from BB had it, but units from other retailers like Amazon did not.

There is another longstanding thread about this very thing here on this forum, but I don't know if any conclusions were made.

White 16GB SFT WiFi from BestBuy and not unlocked.

Wonder how hard it will be to get rid of TouchWiz when Samsung forces it on us. =(

I've been wrong before, and I have no real knowledge of this, but I've read in a few places now that it *shouldn't* be a problem. Basically, assuming what I read is correct, Google mandated that all tablet devices that run Honeycomb ship with Vanilla OS (no Blur, Touchwiz, Sense, etc). Manufacturers can then make their proprietary UI available via optional update if desired. The catch, of course, is whether or not opting out of this optional update will render your device unable to get any future updates beyond that point...thereby forcing you to install it if you want to get any new features later on.

Again, just what I've read, may be a bunch of baloney.
