Are car chargers for S7 Edge and S8 plus the same

I have a car charger for the new S8 plus that I bought at Best Buy. However I may be able to get a deal on a fairly new S7 Edge and was wondering if I can use the new car charger with the 7 Edge or should I return

You would need a USB - c adapter to use that S7 Edge charger. The southern Edge use as micro USB the S8 models use USB - c

Thinking I was going to get the S8, when I pre-ordered, I bought the USB to see charger. What's your 7 to go with the 7 Edge, I need to return it and just get a regular car charger USB micro
