Looking to drop a new kernal over my froyo rom. It frags the camera (so does froyo so no biggie). If i reload into another rom is the kernal persistent, or only applied to what ever rom I flash it over?

So far from what i've been reading, every one who has a custom kernel for OC, also has a link to flash the regular one back. I would highly advise that if you do try the custom kernal, and find that you don't like it. Flash the original before restoring the ROM, and then restore the rom.

Yeah, I've already got the .zip to flash back to stock. I got told by someone over @ xda that it "should" revert back if you wipe before you restore.

you seem to be a consistent help, I really appreciate it.

The kernel is inside the boot.img, when you wipe and flash a new rom it replaces the boot.img(kernel).
