Are my app updates not being downloaded correctly?

I noticed lately that some of my apps (falcon Pro, Rdio, and some others) keep showing updates in the playstore, even after I just updated them earlier in the day.

Ill use a example. Today I downloaded the falcon pro update saying they fixed some stuff with APIs or something. I downloaded it, and maybe 2 hours or so later, it says theres another falcon pro update. Nothing new was stated in the whats new section, it was the same thing as the last update.

Then I noticed my Rdio app had a update today, but under whats new it just stated the whats new for the old update about improved UI and stuff.

Is their just some android apps that get updated constantly? or is there a problem with my phone keeping updates for apps? or are they maybe fixing small stuff with their previous update and dont feel the need to change anything in the whats new section?

has anyone else noticed this?

Check the application version in Application manager before doing the update, then check again afterwards to confirm if the update was applied (the info page for the app in the play store should tell you what version it's attempting to install).

Falcon Pro gets very frequent updates on occasion, especially when the developer pushes out new features. It's not uncommon for it to get two updates in a day for this reason. The developer is extraordinarily responsive to bug reports. I don't use Rdio, but it wouldn't surprise me if any app had the occasional double update.

Long story short: perfectly normal, don't worry about it.
