Are there any direct benefits of buying a Samsung Tablet If You Own A Samsung S3 or S4 Phone?

Is there a reason someone might want to buy a Note tablet over a Nexus tablet because they are both made by Samsung? Are there functions that work between the two devices that won't work with a Nexus tablet?

Also would I be able to use my Galaxy S3 as a hotspot for either tablet without having to pay for some type of upgrade through sprint or is that possible without having to upgrade my unlimited text and data plan through sprint?

Thanks in advance.

While I like Samsung tablets just fine the current Nexus devices are great in their own right. There are some features of touchwiz that I like that aren't available on the the Nexus devices w/out additional purchases or rooting. These include OTG support (you'd need the $4 Nexus Media Importer) and on-the-fly font flipping (you can't change fonts on a stock android w/out rooting and even then I'm not sure you can do it w/out a reboot (that was a biggy for me as I like to switch things up)).

You should be able to use your phone as a hotspot but that'll depend on your Sprint.

Spen. The new Spen features are great. If you use say, s memo on your s4, they should sync to snotes on the tab. Anything that you use a Samsung account for will sync between the 2. I cloud on a lesser level.

Yeah the s memo and s note sync together. It's a nice feature since you can review your notes later on your phone. And if you use kiescast from Samsung for pod casts they should also sync.

Oh and yes you can use your phone add hot spot. I use foxfi app, I think it was 7 bucks on the app store but is a one time fee.
