Are there ANY other music apps that integrate with Android Auto?

I'd really like to play the music on my phone, while connected to Android Auto, but Google Play Music leaves a lot to be desired. Like the ability to select and play all of my music. Is there anything else at all?

There are a bunch of media player apps supporting AA now but most of them would be streaming music, or be specific to playing downloaded podcast episodes. Of "The top 5 best music player apps for Android" list, I think only Google Play Music has AA support at the moment.

Until this functionality is available AA is not an option for me at the moment.. I love the interface but like yourself, I need that ability to browse and play my entire collection.. Hell my factory VW RNS-315 has that ability just without the slick UI that AA offers.

Maybe some of the rumored third party roms will address this..

I can confirm that IHeartRadio and Spotify work with my Android Auto. I just installed a Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX in my car and it is paired with an AT&T Note 4. Hope that helps.
Also, I have noticed that Google Music will only pull up your phone's playlists. Perhaps if you create a Master Playlist that contains All of the music on your phone.

i was able to find an app called "MDPlayer" and its works with android auto and plays the music on your phone!!!

That's probably less than 1000 albums. That is not too difficult to acquire over a few decades...

No poweramp support is a bummer.
I use Spotify premium, but I find all the streaming services to have the worst interfaces ever in the history of application design.
Plus if you are listening to spotify or pandora and speak to it a song you want to hear, it searches google's content.

The Pulsar music app works with Android Auto. It's not bad.

Rocket Music works perfectly with your on-phone music. I did find I had to restart my phone to get it to show up the first time in AA though.
