Are there any problems updating Lollipop on the Nexus 7 2012 model?

Any problems updating Lollipop in Nexus 7 2012 model

I recently took nexus 7 2012 model tablet. I got an update for lollipop. Should I go with installing lollipop version? I heard there are so problems after updating lollipop in Nexus 7 2012 model like lagging etc. ? But, I am not sure.

Please suggest

It really slowed mine down so I went back to 4.4.4 KitKat which is lovely and smooth on the 2012 . You need to really try it yourself though as some people say it is just as slick as KitKat while others say it is SOOO slow !!!

If it's 5.1 then you should be fine... Anything before that, is a killer....

Also, be sure to delete Facebook if you have it, as it has caused major slowdown and lag on all versions of lollipop on my Nexus 7 2012.

I'm a bit inexperienced with tablets, but I'd advise to stay with kk44, when I d.loaded 5 it messed everything up. I can't get back to what it was, either.
Chief complaint now, after several resets, is that I can't separate photos from videos imported from main computer.
I believe some of theTesco lot are complaining cos they can't get lollipop 5. . .the wiser ones are silent!

I used the WugFresh Nexus Development program to install Lollipop 5.1.1 on my Nexus 7 2012. I do not think it had any performance gain over Lollipop 5.1. I think it is slower. But I thought KitKat 4.4.4 was slower than it ought to be. I have been messing with this for a week or more since my wife complained about it. I traded her my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 for it. Now I am considering a new tablet with a minimum of 2 GB ram. Either a Kindle Fire HDX 7" or a Nexus 7 2013. I am just afraid Lollipop will not be any better on the 2013 than it is on my 2012. My kid has a Kindle Fire HD (2013) that performs better than the Nexus 2012. Hope others are getting better results.
