I have been working on an idea of having my Nexus 7 mounted in my car and using it as my head unit. I want to connect to GNex for internet and then BT to the car stereo for sound. Is this possible? I want to use BT for both connections. I can't try it yet because my BT adapter for the stereo is still shipping but in anxious to know if this would work. Anyone know off hand?

In theory is should work, especially if they are not trying to do the same thing, like for example both access the sound system, which it sounds like won't happen in this case. :) I am able to BT my BB 9930 to both my PlayBook and my Moto car speakerphone adapter. I have been able to be listening to Pandora on the BB, piped to my car stereo via the Moto device and also browse on my PlayBook via the BB bridge.

Thats exactly what I'm wanting to accomplish. Awesome, thanks! Now the wait for UPS for the next week for my RAM tab tite mount and by BT adapter. Still not sure how I plan to mount the tablet quite yet though....decisions.

I do this now. Although my n7 is tethered to my gnex via normal tethering not Bluetooth for data. Then i have my n7 connected to the Bluetooth for audio through the speakers.

Yeah I know that a BT connection and a WiFi connection will work simultaneously so if all else fails Thats the route I'll have to go. I'm really hoping both BT connections will work though.

Yes this works pretty good. I'm at this moment using my Rocketfish bluetooth headset and my Ultra eXo Bluetooth Mini keyboard with Touchpad. Listening to my music, the keyboard and touchpad mouse are working to type this.

Edit: I do have to say that occasionally the music will "fade" but it always comes back. Usually happens when typing a long email reply or such. But it's only occasional and only for may 3-5 seconds or so usually, but sometimes the music will just stop and I have to restart the song that was playing. Don't think it's related to 2 bluetooth devices because it has happened with just the headset connected as the only bluetooth device.

Might just be the N7.
