The original promise was 1Q 2010 and that's come and gone. From what I've seen, HTC hasn't said it isn't, but they also haven't provided any good revised ETA for the OTA update. I've kinda given up on it. If we get it, great. If not, I've quit holding my breath. I was getting a headache.

well the 2.1 leak is out so im pretty sure when they do release it it will be 2.1 and im ussing the leak so it there is some bugs but i could never go back to 1.5 so im pretty happy until the official is out

VZW is holding it back cuz they are launchin several new 2.1 devices they wont over shadow bigger money makers for something that costs less. My guess is they will update it after they stop selling it which is sometime in may. That way no one can opt for the cheaper eris on 2.1 over the Droid, Lg Aloha, or the Incedible. Im sure its a business move not a personal thing. (unless you did something to them, in which case all other Eris owners are gonna beat your azz! :-[ )
