Are Wet Application Screen Protectors Safe? (Galaxy S8 Plus)

AC Question

I recently used an IQShield wet applied screen protector on my S8 Plus, and I used some of their detergent solution to do the applying as instructed. I tried my best to soak up solution before it entered any holes, but I'm not sure if I completely avoided drips of solution entering the ear speaker or any of the holes. Is the S8 Plus resistant enough to a few drops of detergent solution, or should I be trying to save my phone right now?

it shouldn't be a problem. I have ArmorSuit and I pretty much doused my phone with the solution and it hasn't caused any problems for me and I've applied the protector back in May.

You're fine. Not to worry. It's made for that. To properly install your screen protector you had to get it wet. You'll be fine and I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I would be surprised if the solution was something other than an isopropyl alcohol. If it is an alcohol, it would not matter if it entered the device internals as much as it would if it we're water.

The solution is just a soapy water mix. The soap is very mild and only needed to allow the skin to slide around during application. Totally safe.

I used the zagg one and it has been pretty amazing

I'm pretty disappointed in the zagg ones. I got two s8+'s at bb and had them install the zagg wrappers.
It's like my ancient pad from the late 90s protective film you were supposed to remove. hah.
really not seeing much benefit to the scurvy screen vs flat... THEN we could have good tempered screen protectors too.
