Are you buying the Galaxy Note7?

Meh, apparently the V20 has smaller display and 1080p. Pass if true.
The leaks onnthr note 7 were so bad I have learned not to even read the leaks. Had I read nothing about the Note 7 ahead of time I may have thought these specs are spectacular. I respectfully suggest you do the same with V20.

I was planning on getting one but I will pass and wait for the S8. My wife was talking about finally getting rid of her iPhone and getting the Note 7. I'll see what she wants to do. For me I'm not all that impressed. It's a great phone for sure but just not enough of a upgrade over the S7 edge I had. For my sife it will be a great upgrade over her 6s plus.

Will wait for BOGO offer. Also, I would like the first batch of production to go out(few months) before I purchase :).

Right away? Nope. I buy my phones unlocked, and I have better things I can spend $800+ on, especially with new Nexus phones coming down the line soon. But ask again in a couple months. The international (and in my opinion, better) version of the S7 can be had for $100 cheaper than the US version, maybe the Note 7 will follow the same path. I haven't owned a Samsung phone since the original Galaxy, but these newest models intrigue me.

Might be good idea. Remember the early production Note 5s had the backwards Spen problem that was corrected on later models.

Owned Note's 3-5.

Not buying this one.

Good logic. I expected the N7 "rumor" specs were too lofty and they were, so the N7 is about what expected (I did think they would offer a 128GB option as well, so missed that). The V20 kind of fits, since they went the high spec route and it failed. The V20 might be a safe option with lower cost in case of failure (less cost to eat).

V20 with 5.7 and 1440p, plus replaceable battery would be nice to consider.

Yup, I am getting a Note 7, quick and in a hurry. Not too long ago, I was saying if it didn't have the removable battery, I would switch.. However, since then, I have lighten up. Not only that, at 75 years old, I can't play no waiting game.. :D

I am banging one off of Tmoble and get the 256 gb card to boot. The 200 gb in my Note 4, will go in my Filo DAP..

What is the deal on the speakers, aptx, sound chip and all?

I had the Note 4. I really, REALLY wanted to like it, but I was plagued with a non-functional GPS (even after several warranty exchanges) and lag. But I loved the screen, the S Pen, and functions like S Search. The Note 7 looks really good, but the problems with my Note 4 has me hesitating a bit. I'm on the iPhone 6s+ now and I still really like it. I haven't had ANY problems with the device, but I'm also itching to try something else. I guess I'll see what the iPhone 7 brings to the table and decide from there.

I've had every Note since the Note 2.

I WILL get the Note 7. In blue hopefully. But I'll happily settle for gold or silver if blue isn't available in my area.

I am torn. I love my S7 Edge and don't have many gripes except the 32gb internal storage. I know I could make the SD Adoptable but I don't really want to wipe my card nor do I want to deal with slower storage. The Pen is cool, but aside from that the phone's are nearly identical and I don't think it is worth the upgrade. If I can finagle AT&T into maybe giving me one in exchange for my S7E I will consider doing it.

I was hoping for more of a reason to move up from my Note 4. Looks like I'm keep the Note 4 another year.

I'm undecided at this time as my note 5 has been excellent.
I guess I was hoping for a few more bells and whistles but I think we are slowing down on any major advancements in Smartphone tech. The only thing that has me interested in upgrading is the solid black color and micro SD card expansion otherwise I will probably hold off until AT&T has a BOGO free promotion.

I'm a maybe. Waiting to see pricing details for JoD, make sure the freebie is available on JoD, and hoping to see some V20 specs leak out before August 19.

Does anyone know what kind of DAC is inside the N7?

Is it the same one that's in the S7 Edge?

I wish Samsung hadn't put the idea of a truly "carrier-free" model in my head. Else I might be going right for the pre-order as soon as it opens.
