I'm glad I made the jump to Verizon and the Thunderbolt. I came from AT&T and was using the Atrix. This is by far the best Android phone I have had since the Nexus One.

That to me is an endorsement. Supposedly the Atrix is the "most powerful" phone on the market right now. To me it just shows that dual core probably won't make a big difference. It's the network that matters for the time being. Now a quad core on LTE... that will be amazing. However that probably won't be out until about this time next year.

What aren't you happy about. Not happy with the jump, waiting for the charge to come out
+1 I wanted to love this phone, but so far underwhelmed. Frankly aside from the camera I really liked my DX.....I've been reading up on DX2 and other assorted up and comers, I'll make a jump to one of those when they hit the pavement. Still waiting for a phone to knock my socks off.
Nope love it,loved my X but I have no regrets.
I'm happy with it. There are some issues, but I would not trade it for any other phone on VZW right now.

poor notification system, ex. notifications that are not even there, lack of notifications that are there. jittery UI, dropping out of 3g/LTE, hand off is forever. hanging on edge for very long periods of time while in a LTE location,.SMS bugs. Button placement is for a lefty. very heavy , Horrible battery life. The PITA method of rooting. The auto root i wrote for this is Huge then to include 2 OSpackages on top of it makes a monster file, thats not even including the unroot packages. The LED light is useless, glad it has it but i wound up just using noled app anyway. Then the downgrade from OLED screen to this is depressing. Not to mention i cant use my kickstand and charge at the same time, Who thought this layout was a good plan
Wasn't it that the cores dont matter until GB? or beyond, because froyo doesnt utilize the other core. So def doesnt matter since there is a software restriction
I love it but there are a few issues bugging me (Words with Friends is super buggy, my G-mail doesn't always come in, occasional sound issues) - but it's still better than any Blackberry I've owned!
What aren't you happy about.
YIKES, that was more than I was expecting. Do you expect these to get worked out with updates or are some of these hardware issues?
I have a Fascinate, should I stay with it? What would you go to at this very moment if you had a Fascinate? You use to have one...correct?
I always wonder if dual core is overkill for a phone.
Oh and i forgot the random reboots.....
I imagine that most of these things will be fixed by flashing a new rom and kernel, and im sure that the update will bring many fixes.
Im not saying this is a bad phone i mean its great for what it is. i think i was expecting more from all the talk and i was just underwhelmed.
Yes of course i had a fascinate till i got to comfortable lol...
i am waiting for the charge and bringing back the TB as soon as its out.
if i were you though if you worry about a contract i would wait till the Galaxy S2 is closer to coming out. Or i would just give TB a chance its a good phone just not for me
I buy off contract so it do.esnt matter to me.
