Are you still happy with the g4?

I'm debating giving this phone more time to see if future updates fix issues I have with it. Again, knock on hardly works and I keep making mis taps when scrolling web pages and the app drawer. It's annoying and its making me miss my iPhone.

When the iPhone 6 came out last year, Voice and data was introduced. So YES you can do voice and data on the iPhone now. 6 and up. View attachment 196535

Really? I didn't know that. Guess I really only had the camera reason to go to Android then.

As for the keyboard is **** comments previous:
Keyboard is an easy fix, since you can get Swype and Swiftkey for iOS anyways.

A few days spent with my G4 after the last T Mobile update then a factory reset, the phone is performing so well a kinda hate to see the Marshmallow update coming. I almost don't wanna touch it. This is the phone I wanted when I bought the G4.

If M helps with battery life, then I'm open to it :)

That's fair, and I agree. Just saying, my phone seems great. Couldn't be happier. And if there's something up after the Marshmallow update I'll just factory reset the crap out of my phone until it's great again. I never had to do this with my Nexus 5, but that's the price of not having a Nexus I suppose.

Easy fix? Not so much. Third party keyboards are terrible on iOS. I tried swiftkey but it doesn't have the good layouts like on Android. And even if I was willing to deal with the downgraded functionality the way iOS treats third party keyboards as a security risk made it maddening. Every time you're typing in a password it automatically switches back to the iOS keyboard. And half the time swiftkey just failed to pop up at all and I had to open other apps to get it to come up, then go back to the app I was originally trying to use. Or it just kept reverting back to the iOS keyboard and I had to keep switching back. I couldn't take it I had to give up and just hunt and peck on the iOS keyboard.

Update... Since the TMo update and hardware replace this phone is now close to perfect. Performance has been superior. I am down to no complaints. I am however disappointed in Google Wallet and Google Pay. I was happily paying with Wallet but now am forced to lock screen. Plus Samsung pay is superior with the technology that lets out work on any card reader. But that all belongs in another forum. LG G4 is really living up to flagship status for me now. I thought I should let you all know.

Well wow what a big difference. Two days ago I got a shiny new LG G4 and I absolutely love it. Didn't like the G3 loved the G2 and after setting up my G4 I had two large updates and this thing is fast and buttery smooth. I came from a Motorola X Play and that phone was laggy especially with browsing but the G4 is fantastic. I've had no hearing issues it gets a little warm but not hot only got a little hot when setting up which is normal. Honestly totally lag free really impressed and after charging all night my battery stayed on 100% for over an hour with light usage and never budged for hours on standby. Love the camera as expected love doing long exposures. I'm happy anyway

I still love my G4 even if I am stuck with it for another full year.

It's display out performs all other phones I have seen in bright direct sunlight. Many times people who need to look something up right away outside ask if I will do it for them or if they can use my phone. I don't mind looking things up for people but your not holding my phone, even if I know you unless you got 6 small to place my hand first.
I do miss touch wiz tho and the Note 5 is a sexy little machine.

I love my G4 :) It's a great GREAT phone! Camera is top. Battery life is good, OK. Some days I get home with 70% battery life, other days I get home with 20%. Busy days I must charge it midday. But performance is THE BEST. I have yet to have ANY issues with this device! Speed is AWESOME. Camera is great, quality is the best. Battery life is good, but what's best is that you can change out the battery! Design? Well, I prefer Sony and Lumia designs. But I like how thin and how it fits in my hand. The leather back is great. I like the ceramic white back, too. I can't complain. I've had this device for months and I plan to keep it for months :).

I love it for a couple weeks after my monthly factory reset. I'm looking to move on.

I am very happy with my G4. It's been an all-around solid phone. Stellar camera and display. Everything else is solid and gets the job done. The last update seems to have fixed the minor touchscreen sensitivity issues, which wasn't horrible in the first place. I plan on having this phone for a couple of years, as long as the phone's hardware holds up and that there are no big problems when it updates to Android M.

I like my G4 now that I got the T-Mobile update. Battery life is still poor, but that may just be because I have to tweak it a bit. Display is great and I love the camera, best I've ever had and coming from Lumia that says a lot. This is by far the best android phone I have owned.

Still happy. Really do like the phone. But, i am looking at the new Nexus 5x becuase I've never had completely stock android. The g4 has been awesome though and ive dumped some money in it with back covers, an extra battery and charging dock so I'm not sure. May sound funny but i'm not sure i can leave the ir blaster. Lol..with 3 boys and a wife, i gotta be quick on the trigger.:)

4 months and I like it more every day. Battery is outstanding, best phone I've ever had.

Well I won mine so this is one hell of a free phone. I still use my G3 for anything that doesn't require an active SIM card. The G4 is faster but the G3 has better screen response (no missed taps). That's the ONE thing that is really a bummer on this phone. Has it been determined whether or not it is a hardware or software issue?
