Are you still really happy with your Note 3?

A month in and generally happy with it. Caveats to that would be the really slow camera operation - terrific lag between clicking 'shutter' to picture being taken - that I'm simply not used to having come from an iPhone, and the amount of crapware (or what should be user-choice install) embedded in Samsung's Android. Apple is guilty of it too, I grant you - so an issue generally.

Mine's nearly a year old now, and still haven't found anything that really compels me to trade it in. I'm waiting to see what the Note 4 brings to the table, and although I know it's a long shot, if it was water-resistant like the S5 then THAT would be my next phone :)

I agree with Bazza, the only thing I could do without is the terrible shutter lag and low-light handling. It's even as if setting the flash to Auto requires you to be in utter darkness before it kicks in instead of the laggy auto-night mode. Try capturing anything that moves even a tiny bit (i.e. anything that is alive) while not in bright sunlight and you get blurry pictures nearly all the time unless you have a REALLY steady hand or are using a tripod. Other than that, I'm very happy.

I had the Note 2 a few years back, but didn't bother with the Note 3 as I feel it's big selling point (the sheer size of it) is now being matched by most flag ship phones, look at the G3 size for example. Do you think the Note 4 will go bigger than the Note 3 or do you think the S Pen is it's main selling difference to other phones these days?

I'v had my Note 3 since January 2014. This is my 2nd smart phone. I love this phone. After 7 months I'm only using about 40% of what this phone can do.
I will consider the Note 4 when it comes out, or the next Nexus\android silver line of phones.
The camera could be better in low light conditions, and the lack of timely upgrades are the only negatives. The upgrade issue is a Verizon problem.
Did you know that the Note 3 was still the 4th highest-rated smartphone in a recent survey I saw, even though it is considered a "old phone".

I've had mine for about 7 months now and still is a great device, the only time to get rid off the Note 3 is to move on to the Note 4. In my case the S-Pen is what really makes me not change devices.

I have had Note 3 for 4 months and it is foreign to me. It sucks for user friendliness. I still use my Iphone 4 because it is easier to navigate and far more efficient than note 3. I fumble through apps and functions where on my Iphone 4, I touch one maybe two buttons and i am there. i wish there was a school to go to for learning the Note 3. I dont even use it because it is so unfriendly even on settings. Everything takes studying and stumbling to learn something IF it can be done. I should have never bought the Note 3. Totally unfriendly

That's quite funny... I have a nexus phone, had a few Samsungs. The funny thing is that when I try to show my wife how to do something on her iPhone, neither she nor I can figure it out easily... We've often remarked how unintuitive it is, especially the mystery of where app settings are, how to share info between apps, how to find menus on apps (there is no such thing as the easy press and hold contextual menus you get in android apps.)
Anyhow, it seems one will find the unfamiliar "unfriendly".

Definitely this was the phone for me. I had the Note 2. I prefer the larger screen and I do use the stylus even if not all the time.
Having that option is a plus. I have the 2014 tablet too

The Note 3 is my first Android. All I ever knew was Apple. It took a little learning but so worth it. Why? Because I found that it could do so much more than the iPhone. It's fun and customizable. It does have its challenges. Sure, the iPhone is user friendly but that's about it. It took me almost a month or two to learn everything on this phone, no complaints here. I enjoyed the challenge. Just like moving to any new phone, takes time to learn it. :D

In life, a positive additude is everything. Just saying.
