Switched on ART on my Verizon Note 4, haven't really noticed any difference either in speed or battery life. So I think we have to wait for Lollipop to see any benefits, although reading the reports on N5 its again not clear if it makes a big difference.

all I know is that I wanted to try ART, but every time the phone reboots it has to 'optimize Apps', so I switched back to Dalvik.

Wauw, I totally forgot to do this! Somethings you will just forget when you switch to other OS's... won't even change it after hearing problems

I switched mine last week.

Took about an hour to optimise all the apps.

Phone seemed very laggy to use so something wasn't right so I switched it back. Strangely it didn't optimise the apps again and took a matter of minutes to reboot.

May give it another go at another date, but I've not had any complaints with the Note 4's battery life so far and I'm a pretty heavy user as its my work phone. Without charging during the day I'm probably at about 40% left after 14-16 hours, with mixture of exchange email, SMS, spotify, twitter etc.

Same for me when I switched, phone got laggy and glitchy.

The ART that's in kitkat is experimental and not meant for daily use. It's technically not even the same ART that's in Lollipop.

I've done it twice and both times the S Health app doesn't work and causes a freeze up. Plus this T-Moble Note 4 gets pretty hot in the process.

This! Found this out the hard way with the S View Cover. It also breaks the flashlight button on the S View Cover.

I tried it. S health crashes every 10 minutes. I swap batteries so reboots took forever. I ran into some other funky things.

I switched to ART on my ATT Note 4 a couple of days ago. I'm liking it so far. Battery life seems improved, and the phone seems faster/less laggy. I also reduced animations to .5 as well, so maybe that is some of the "speed increase".
