I'm in. If the glitches that you've seen can be patched, and they can. I'll finally be rid of the 20lb weight that was and is the Palm Pre. I realize that the 3d is supposed to be a good feature but I just want the phone to be solidly built, completely functional, and make calls. If it can do that and I can go at least year with the same one, I'm sure otterbox is cooking up a case that will protect the lens'. I'm also sure that whatever issues we've seen will have ota fixes within a month or so of release. If all else fails i'll wait on the ice cream update:cool::-$:D ..

I too am switching over from the Pre, though my expectations are a good deal higher than yours. On the hardware end, I had no problems other than needing a batter swap about two weeks ago (after 22 months). The software was the killer for me. webOS had amazing potential, and the open ecosystem was nice. But the implementation was buggy and development never hit critical mass. The Evo 3D may have the odd bug, but the reviews are promising and I'm damn excited to get rooting and rom flashing.
