Its checked. The light comes on, but it looks like it is either blinking too fast or is staying on all the way.

Internal Voltage regulation will only accept whats safe for the device, your not talking about very much difference here so your fine. I do find it interesting though that its a smaller charger. I made a thread about this and it got a lot of views but no real answers.

Yup, very small differences between the two chargers.

Does you notification light blink or does it just stay on when you get a notification?

It is supposed to pulse slowly when you have notifications.

Cheers, can you tell me what speed then new nexus 7 can connect on 2.4Ghz? Is it 130Mbps or something like it, the OG was 65Mbps!

Just recently got Nexus 7 ? 2013 model, this is my first tab and experience so far is excellent. There are couple of things I am a bit confused about -

I have a headset with built in mic, can I use that for skype? I am facing some issues, here is what happens --

I can not hear other side, neither other side hears me
But when I do test audio call in Skype, it plays back my recorded voice very clearly in my headset.
I am confused as to where the problem is

No, I do not think it would work. The new Nexus 7 uses the Qi format for wireless charging, that was not present on the HP Touchstone charging devices.
