Asking Assistant to text

Hello all,

Have a few questions, whenever I ask assistant to send a text I get through everything then I get an error screen saying unable to send text. What is going on? Or is there a setting I don't have on?

Secondly, can you train assistant to learn how to pronounce names? Assistant gets my name wrong and others also.

Downloaded Textra app, turned off all notifications and permissions for the Android Messages app....with the Textra app still won't send a text through assistant. Frustrating....anyone have any ideas?!?!?

WTF? OK, what about uninstalling the Google/Assistant app and re-installing? Not sure if possible on a Pixel or not, or at least uninstall updates to let it re-update itself? Or clear the app's data/cache?

I've asked around to a couple people with Pixels and theirs can send texts, and I tried with both stock and Textra on my S9+ and it has no issues either.

Ended up removing my google account, reinstalling it, syncing everything again and all is good as of now. Thanks again for the help!

Glad it worked! Sorry you had to do all that though but at least it is fixed now.
