I've done this will all my other cell phones. I finally figured it out on the Note 9 but I don't seem to have the option of playing the "hook" (maybe that's not the right terminology). The song is starting at the beginning. Can someone tell me or point me in the right direction of how to play the "catchy" part of a song for the ringtone please?
Thanks

Use the Samsung Music app. Pick the song, tap the menu button upper right and Set As option, choose ringtone. From there you can select a Highlight of the song and set for general ringtone or a specific contact.

I usually make my own ringtones and notifications so I can have the selection of the songs I want and just copy them to the ringtone and notification folders so They are available to select.
