The drive assist feature isn't working on my Verizon moto x. It's supposed to come on when I'm driving but doesn't. I've got it turned on in settings. Ideas?

Am I the only one having this problem? Does anyone have any troubleshooting suggestions?

No third party apps. It just never goes into drive mode. Doesn't show up in the notification bar

I'm sorry you're having that issue. I'm on VZW and haven't had the issue. I've had a number of text messages sent to me and sent quick replies.

Yes. Gps and location settings are all on. I've looked at every setting I can think of that would be causing an issue with assist, but nothing.

May be factory reset? ..also make sure you are able to get gps location and all your sensors are working OK..You can download simple sensor test app from play store to test sensors

I am having the same problem. The meetings and sleep functions are not working either so I don't think it is the sensors. I have chatted with motorola 2x and called once but still not working. Considering factory reset or going to vzw for an exchange! Love the phone otherwise!

I did a factory reset. It was painful but now moto assist is working. Not sure what I did differently during set up this time.

I have Assist setup to read my text messages, it has yet to do that on my VZW MX. I get a notification sound via Bluetooth, that's it.

The only issue I've had with it is one day I was standing at my friend's house and all of a sudden it kicked on and started playing music at full volume. I had the auto start music setting checked so it would play in my car and for some reason it thought I was driving even though I was standing in one spot. I unchecked that and have had no other problems with it.

Assist was working flawlessly at first, until I was a passenger and clicked the 'I'm not driving' option. After several reboots and clearing of data on the app, Assist started working again as intended for several days... Until...... I was a passenger and clicked the 'I'm not driving' option. I repeated the same as above, and for the last couple of days, it's worked as intended. I'm gonna try clicking 'I'm not driving' option again.. I'm thinking that might be my problem.
