I know it's supposed to be more conversational, but from what I've seen so far, it doesn't audibly town back like Google now does it just show you the answers to your questions in the screen.

There is a way to enable it on a rooted 6P,

Google Assistant can be enabled on non-Pixel devices running Android Nougat

I'm waiting for 7.1 before I try this. Rooting disables OTA updates and Android Pay. Don't really care about Android Pay but I do care about OTA updates although I can live without them if Assistant turns out ot be worthwhile.

Been using it a lot as my eyes aren't too great for sending texts and whatsapp messages, making calls. It does reply quite a lot and would be one of main reasons for me keeping pixel. It seems to learn the more you use it.
