Asus keyboard question

I have given my Zen 2 to my wife and moved to a Moto X pure. She uses the keyboard a lot more than I ever did and wants to know if there is a setting which will automatically insert a space after a predictive word has been chosen. She says her prior phone (LG) would do this. Does anyone know?

Did you/she go into keyboard settings to review all the options it offers?

It automatically puts a space between words for me if I keep on typing and pick my next word from the prediction line.

I did find a setting called "enable auto space" under the advanced options of the keyboard app. It wasn't ticked on.
