Asus MeMo Pad HD 7 or Hisense Sero 7 Pro - which is best for family use?

Hi

I am looking to purchase my first tablet. I want it to be suitable for family use - i.e. have parental controls for young children.

I am trying to decide between the Asus MeMo Pad HD 7 and the Hisense Sero 7 Pro. I live in the UK and the Hisense is available from ebuyer for ?119 with 32GB Flash.

I am tempted to go for the Hisense but am hesitant because Asus is better known, especially in the UK. Also, I wonder if the Asus apps may be useful.

Please can anyone advise me which to select, with especial consideration of parental controls? Also, would the possibility of an Android 4.3 update be an important consideration?

I love my Hisense but for parental controls, I'd get a Kindle Fire.
