AT&T 4.3 for Note 2 today

After paying full price for thus phone, I am very disappointed in the lack of support ftlrom at&t in the area of OS updates. I guess I will have to root it and void the warranty in order to stay current in the android OS world. At&t should be embarrassed.

You have to root to get the fullest potential out of the phone. It's a no brainer. And there are plenty of ways to unroot to keep it under warranty.

Tmo just released a week or so ago, and Verizon was yesterday. Not quite sure AT&T should be too embarrassed yet. If not by Xmas, then maybe there is an argument for it.

I was reading online that the update actively changes regions so even if you manually change the apn it will change itself back. Seems like a substantial bug. Id rather wait so they get it right. 4.1.2 works and has gotten me by for over a year, not to much longer to go I hope.

The update on my Note 2 is now downloading. The size is 695.85MB. My device is rooted by the way.

Uh oh. Install failed. A message saying install was interrupted. It was on Wi-Fi the whole time. The download had completed and rebooted. Not sure what happened. Time to unroot ?

If you're rooted this update screws everything up. This is mostly related to Knox

If you manually change your date and time to tomorrow on your phone your phone you should be able to by pass having to wait
