I have the AT&T version of the 8.9. It still shows I have "Android version 3.2". I have tried wi-fi update option. Device tells me I have current version. I have tried Kies with USB hookup. Updated Kies. It says my tab is up to date. Everyone here seems to have ICS, but I'm stuck in gingerbread land! Any ideas?

AT&T may be holding it back like they tend to do with phones. I hate to say it, but you may want to call AT&T.
Otherwise you would likely need to root it and install a rom. Other folks would be better equipped to help you with that route.

I have had this Tab since Nov of 2011, they (AT&T) have not released the 4.0 update as yet. Be careful if you use a ROM to make sure its compatible with the SGH-i957 the model of the AT&T version
