AT&T Email question

My S23 went weird on me the other day. I got AT&T and use the Samsung email app. 2 or 3 days ago, the email app stopped working. I go to reenter the login and password, and the app locks up when I enter the password.
Now AT&T email runs through yahoo. So I download the yahoo app. It crashes at the same place as the Samsung app.
I go to my Outlook on my PC. Enter the login and password and connects right away. I go to att.net and it connects to my email fine. I go to yahoo.com. Works perfectly. I've got the Outlook app on my phone, and it works on my phone (sorta)
I've uninstalled the Samsung app and reinstalled it. I've rebooted, cleared the cache files, and it crashes at the same place. (Enter user ID, enter password, crash and locks up)
I was looking at the Samsung message board and found a thread where others are having the exact same issue on another model. Seems like an issue where yahoo connects to AT&T.
Is anyone out there using AT&T having the same problem? This is driving me crazy.

Did you try using an app password instead of the password you created? https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN15241.html
Yup. I have everything in a spreadsheet. Input the generated password, still locked up. Went to AT&T, deleted the generated password, generated a new one, saved in in the spreadsheet, entered it as my password with the same exact result. App locked up. Attempted multiple times.

Does it work when you are on your home wifi?

I had an issue with Comcast mail, where it worked on my home wifi, and when my phone was on verizon towers. But, I had an AT&T wifi hotspot in my car and the credentials always failed. Long investigation found Comcast was blocking the AT&T IP for my hotspot due to a poor reputation .

I never got AT&T to resolve the issue. So, I wound up canceling the car hotspot and got a portable one from verizon.

Nope. It doesn't work on my home system, cell, or other networks... Samsung email won't install. Yahoo won't install. I enter the password, and it just sits there locked up. I can get it to work under Outlook sometimes. Notifications are intermittent through Outlook.

Hey... guess what? I just checked for updates and I was notified there was an update for Samsung Email. Just installed it. Are you ready for this??

It didn't work. No change

Hopefully, this will be the final. I been fighting this thing for over a week now, and I think that after the final round, I beat it. Hopefully.
I got on Google, and did a big search for all the symptoms and I found what I think is a solution on Reddit. Very simple solution. So I tried it. Downloaded an App called Blue Email.

downloaded, set up and runnning perfectly in about 4 minutes. Another couple of minutes to Configure it and tweak it some. Works good. Slight learning curve, but nothing too bad so far.

One last little note. This afternoon, for the heck of it I tried Samsung email again. And evidently, someone finally fixed the issue with the interface. Logged in immediately and perfectly. 2 minutes and it's back to the way it was 2 weeks ago.
