AT&T Galaxy S5 just delivered!

Re: AT&T S5 just delivered!

I just don't get the big want for download booster. Seems like a great way to go over your monthly allowance, unless you are still grandfather ed into the unlimited

IMO, AT&T disabling the download booster right after they announced they new $160/month for 10GB plan wasn't very smart, most people with that plan could make use of the DL Booster...

I have a 10gb family I still think it's a waste to use data and WiFi at the same time just to get something what in 1-2 minutes instead of 5 minutes? Just doesn't seem needed to me. I know I am in the minority on this though. It does suck for those who want it

I totally agree that it sucks it's not on the phone, but at the same time I can understand why it was left off. No doubt you would see people blow through data and then be completely perplexed as to why they incurred so much in overages. I think the odds are pretty good that your everyday person might not realize fully what that feature requires and would blow over their data and AT&T would have to deal with a lot of confused angry people.

Granted I think people should pay attention and be cautious of their usage and what they are doing but we all know that usually isn't the case. ;)

Now THIS is a fine looking picture!!

Now take a picture indoors of a person moving.
The Galaxy phones have always taken decent outdoor mid-day shots - any camera that can't do that is useless. Where the Galaxy cameras have massively underperformed is in low light situations, especially with movement.

I'm with you on this one. I can't see a need for it unless you have really crappy wifi or something. Those with unlimited data otoh I can see the concern.

I feel like the camera indoors isn't as sharp (? not sure of the correct word maybe it's a little fuzzy?) as my iPhone 5s's camera was.
Unfortunately there are no other people at home with me at the moment, just the dogs and it's doggy nap time right now. :D I couldn't get him to get up and move around for anything.

Re: AT&T S5 just delivered!

How did flashing and rooting work for the SGS4? Will we be able to get features that we've been robbed of thanks to AT&T?

Cute dog! Was this picture cropped?

Re: AT&T S5 just delivered!

I'm looking through the settings I see: safety assistance. I don't see kids mode/find my mobile/reactivation lock.

Kids mode is an app you can download from Samsung. I have it on my s5 and it works fine

Any chance you could try playing with the settings? The s5 can take amazing shots indoors, sometimes it doesnt default to max resolution. Idk if yours did or not. Id love to see some outdoor pics as well!

The battery life! After some TRUE heavy use I lost about 8% in three hours. Let's hope this continues.

That is truly disappointing, hopefully thats operator error because the M8 that I just sold could do way better....

There's an option for picture stabilization that can help with that. Don't worry, people; the S5 isn't going to be an awful performer indoors or in low light. It's just not the best. Not exactly that huge of a deal considering how awesome it is everywhere else.

I'm not worried but I am waiting on the 32Gb, wouldn't bother me to find out if the S5 isn't everything that it's been said to be. Two weeks of user reviews will tell it all. I expect the S5 to be a huge winner but finding out that ATT disabled the download accelerator.....thats a big feature off the table. Im verizon though, could careless if its only ATT. Had the M8 for a couple days and sold it so I dont need to worry about that one anymore:)
