AT&T Galaxy S6 WiFi Notification

I played around with and AT&T S6 at the store and noticed while connected to WiFi, there is a persistent notification showing the network the phone is connected to. I didn't find a way to turn this off, but maybe I overlooked it. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

That question has already been asked, and I believe the conclusion is no (at least for the ATT version).

That sucks. Hopefully a future update will allow users to disable the notification.
