AT&T Galaxy S8 Pre-order Status

It's a little over a week until the GS8 arrives. Thought it might be good to have a thread to track pre-orders.

My AT&T order for a gray S8+ went from processing to preparing for shipment last Friday. No movement since.

The website has always said delivers by 4/21. I think it could be anytime next week.

I made a second call to customer retention but was not able to extend my contract as in years past. I pre-ordered the GS8 Midnight Black that is preparing to ship on 4/19. I went to a local corporate store & put down enough to get 24 month rate down to $20 per month which I figure that I can pay off early or get the GS9 next spring.

My UPS App on my S7 Edge says I have a UPS Next Day Air package coming from FDC DSC Fort Worth next Wednesday. ATT hasn't said anything yet, but I think that's it. The status is "Order Processed. Ready for UPS"

True but doesn't make waiting any easier. I was disappointed that I could no longer get the two year contract price exception. If you have stayed with a carrier almost 25 years, the carrier should subsidize a fraction of the cost if you now have purchase the device outright or on installments.

Seems a little unfair that the YouTube Tech Guy got his AT&T GS8P yesterday. I know that it's time drum up hype but I have been pretty loyal & a customer far longer than some of the YouTube reviewers like him. I also realize that he may have also helped field test the device and therefore the advanced shipment.

what was status before that. my god i ordred on the 30th and still says preparing for shipping for 2 weeks. what am i missing. how can you get tracking already when most all and even i called for two weeks and no final charge and no tracking. how did you before most get that status,as i feel im on the wrong planet.

You honestly expect them to ship you the phone a week or so early?

Mine order still shows preparing for shipment on the AT&T website. I have a my UPS account so I can see upcoming shipments once they have been processed by the shipper even if UPS hasn 't picked it up yet.

This guy did an unboxing of a retail version & it was an At&t one. Unless it's behind the device information sticker, there's no at&t branding on the back. I hope this holds true for all of them.
