Just switched to AT&T from Sprint. Prices are higher but I notice you get better coverage. How is it for you? Any problems?

No issues for me. I get solid speeds and great coverage. I'm also on the unlimited plan and love it.

Where do you live, work, and travel? Have you asked neighbors and coworkers how their coverage is with AT&T? That might give you an idea of how good or bad it is in the area where you'll use the network.

That's a very good point. 4 years ago I switched from Sprint to AT&T because I was getting very slow data connect speeds in the Seattle area. Since then, I've travelled all over the southwest on business and on vacations and have experienced great LTE coverage and data speeds. Customer service at the local stores and online has been very good too. The only real negative I've seen are the small services that AT&T nickel-n-dime you for (e.g., family tracking, called blocking, etc) which I've opted out.

Hope you already have your Marshmallow update.

Been great for me for years. Switch from Verizon ages ago and haven't looked back.

Very few issues. Been with AT&T for 22 years.

I have Verizon for my phone and AT&T for my iPad. Verizon is still better overall, but AT&T is a close second. My sister had Virgin Mobile (Sprint MVNO for those that don't know) for several years and her experience was very poor.

I think you'll be happy with AT&T after switching from Sprint, but there's always that chance Sprint is better in your area.

Att seems to have excellent coverage and out of the big four they've given me the best service and coverage

Very rare do I go anywhere where I don't have signal. No issues with AT&T love them!

I started with ATT back in the 1990s since I was traveling for work and ATT had the best coverage.
Since then I no longer do that much traveling and everyone's coverage has greatly improved.
I am still with ATT due to company discounts; no service complaints.
My only minor gripe is that at my house I only average 2 "bars", but I don't do many phone calls.

Ignore bars. Check the actual -dBm signal in settings. Each phone shows different bars for various strengths so that is why I wouldn't rely on them.

Is there a chart to help judge poor vs good signal strengths?

An easy way to test signal strength in your home. Miss calls while home? Signal is weak. Don't miss calls while at home? Signal is adequate.
I thought the signal in our house was weak, 1 to 2 bars in the basement, so I invested in a Microcell. 4 to 5 bars throughout the house. But the Microcell finally died after 2 years, and before I could replace it, I realized we weren't missing any calls without it.

Att definitely works well for me. I also have a Verizon prepaid flip phone and last night the Verizon phone couldn't make or receive calls while my att phone worked fine. Att has been super reliable lately. Not saying they are perfect but the service is very good overall.

Location matters so I'm sure they stink in certain spots like all carriers do but I'm very happy with them and I travel frequently

It's always good to have an extra phone on a different carrier for this reason. This is the main reason I have two. One att one Verizon. Though I don't need two smartphones, but I enjoy both iPhone (6s plus) and Android (Nexus 6P)

I'm about to do something like that with my backup phone, get a cheap prepaid plan. Though I am tempted to try the LG Watch Urbane LTE on a cheap plan. With my corporate discount, it might be cheaper than prepaid.

I figured if I'm spending money, I might as well enjoy it. So I have 2 smartphones on two different nationwide networks ;) (AT&T and Verizon). I also travel outside of the US a bit, so the unlimited international data is nice. Full speed LTE speeds in other countries, without a huge bill, is pretty cool

Is AT&T good, yes.

Is AT&T good where you are? That I can't and won't answer since I don't know where you are at and don't know the coverage in that area.
