Even after a reboot? Do games that rely on the accelerometer still work properly? Try playing a racing game and see if tilting the screen steers the vehicle properly.

To add to Kevin's idea go to Settings > Display > Check that Auto Rotate is set.

Normally when its not the screen is vertical but maybe you ran into a glitch.

The game thing worked, somehow my phone has unbugged itself by just lying there on the table, but thanks a lot man.
