AT&T HTC One (M8): Now available at att.com

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

Just got off the phone with at&t. Heres the catch, the phone will be overnighted once the processing is done which could take till the end of the week. Its basically false advertisment if i dont get my device by tomorrow. Im not too happy right now.

Friggin Corp marketing. How could processing a phone order take a week for them? Are you #1000 in a manual processing queue handles by 1 person?

Sorry to hear Bud. Will be worth the wait, but also makes the almost 2 week Verizon exclusivity true lol

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

I'm impatient to but overnight shipping means how long it takes from the time the carrier receives it. Not from when you order it. So technically you'll still get overnight shipping from time it's ready for shipping. Whereas someone else who has 2 say shipping would leave the same day as yours but wouldn't get theirs until a day later. I feel you but you're over reacting just a bit. You'll make it. I promise ;).

I don't know why people listen to customer service, I use to work for cancelation department and they lie there asses off to get you off the phone. Mine already shipped but no delivery date yet. I ordered at about 1230 central over the phone.

My ship date updated to March 25th a few moments ago from the earlier 5 day estimated. It WILL be coming tomorrow :D.

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

Ok thanks. Mine still shows as processing and estimated ship between 3/28 and 4/1 as earlier. Just was curious that people are already getting ship dates. That is awesome. Good luck!

Just checked, it shipped. Will be here by 3pm tomorrow. :)

Now all i need is root. Lol

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

My order status only lists the order number and says Shipping Status: In Progress, doesn't mention the phone at all or estimated shipping dates?

Edit: I talked to an agent through the chat support and they said they could see the phone when looking up the order, but I still can't.

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

Got my M8 ordered finally. Had to pay $449 but they are giving me $100 statement credit. I think I can get $350 for my current one device to net out to no cost.

No contract price? How'd you swing that?

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

I stopped in an AT&T store , right when it was to go online. They had no idea what I was talking about! They knew nothing of the phone, and it wasn't on the site yet..according to them. So, I called the corporate office. They happily took my order! I went back into the ATT store and let them know that I ordered it via phone. Embarrassed, the HTC ONE M8 was right there on the website, which they swore wasn't there. So much for that store getting anything ($$$$$) from me!

This was my experience today too. I had more information on the availability than they had. One guy looked on his tablet but couldn't find the M8. I had just come from the Verizon store across the street where I had a chance to play with the M8. The clerk was very knowledgeable on the features. This is one nice phone with a great feel.

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

Just got the notification that mine has shipped. Not ready on fedex site just yet so I'll see the expected delivery once available. But I do have overnight. If I get it tomorrow or Thursday I'll be pleasantly surprised as I wasn't expecting until beginning of April at the soonest.

Edit: it's on fedex site and showing delivery by tomorrow 8pm.

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

I'm really pretty impressed and happy with how HTC handled this. Now, this is more in line as to how to launch a flagship! I thought I'd be waiting for weeks, but it was handled beautifully!

I agree. I think it was their intent to blindside samsung with a quick release like this. Especially when last year the One took forever to come out.

My premier account. I'm on a huge account so they usually try to get things done for us. Also, I may or may not have mentioned T-Mobile refunding ETF's for people willing to switch...

Update...I contacted customer service again as I did not get the terms and conditions email. I had a supervisor on the line because the system could not locate my order even though it showed via order status. After fixing that issue, she noticed the price I paid for the phone. She reviewed and determined that I was charged an incorrect price. So she gave my account a $116 additional credit. So I will end up paying $234 for the m8 now while still having a 1 year contract. Although I have been on the phone for an hour, it was worth it.

For all of those who need some verification, I had to call the sales rep over the phone, instead of online. The rep told me free overnight. I then later contacted an agent on chat. He put in link for me to follow, and stated he saw that my order would be delivered tomorrow! Plus, when I followed the link, UPS had already received my phone, and indeed 3/26 is when it will be out for delivery to my house. Very excited.

I'm mean come on, new phone, and same day launch. Everyone is trying to order, so you may get glitches. Also, ATT wants to set you up for a worse case scenario expectation, so they slapped on a 3-5 business day delivery. I think the dates were, 3/28 till 4/01? So, no worries. Order your phone soon, or else, you will be waiting a little longer than you hoped.

Best advice, CALL AT&T. Don't go to the store, and you may get lucky online. Oh, and with such a quick launch, companies need to be careful on how many devices are available, and in what size or color. ATT= Gunmetal Grey, and... Oh gosh, I hope I ordered the 32GB, lol.

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

Just an update for those who ordered: I ordered my HTC One (M8) at about 1 pm central time on at&t.com. I got a shipment notification around 3pm saying it was due for delivery tomorrow 3/26 by 8pm.

I have to say.. I'm pleasantly surprised on how well HTC and the carriers handled this launch. Phone announced in the morning.. Goes on sale in the afternoon.. And after free overnight shipping will be in my hands the next day. I could definitely get used to that format! Although the specs and phone images were leaked plenty of times prior to today, that's really the only negative aspect of this launch. And some might even say it's wasn't a negative at all, and that it added to the overall exposure the device was bound to receive anyways.

I can't wait to try this phone out, as this is my first HTC phone! If anyone has any suggestions/tips please feel free to message me!
