AT&T HTC One (M8): Now available at att.com

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

I too just got my shipment notification. FedEx has it and will be delivered tomorrow by 8pm. Not bad since I didn't purchase the device until 6pm tonight. Awesome job HTC and at&t!

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

So does anyone know what's going on with color availability. I know Best Buy has the gold, but I expected the Silver option to release on more than just Verizon. They don't have that as an exclusive color do they? Maybe just a limited time thing?

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

I had to use the free 2 day UPS shipping as the FedEx hub is pretty far from my house and I like to pick up expensive shipments so they don't get jacked from in front of my house. Mine will be here tomorrow morning.

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

Is it worth it to get the developer's edition if I have an upgrade available on my contract. I'm coming from an iPhone and I am not sure about the amount of bloatware and time it takes to get software updates.

If its anything like the original HTC One, there will be a way to turn any device into a Developer Edition. Just gotta be a little patient. The patience is worth the 400 you'll save by getting a contract.

Re: AT&T: Now available at att.com

Mine says "preparing to ship" not 100% sure it's the same thing as in progress

Now mine says order placed 3/26, and preparing to ship. Estimated shipping date: 03/31/14 - 04/02/14*...

Edit: Just called and apparently it should be here tomorrow or Friday.

I had them overnight it and I am posting from it now. Super impressed with the short time I've had it. Camera is better than I expected and sounds amazing!

Re: HTC One (M8): Now available at att.com

Really hoping someone can help me out as I'm not a phone person. I am at the end of a 2-year contract and am thinking of going off-contract with a new M8 and value plan or signing up for the "Next" plan where I pay $25 for the phone 18 months and get $15 off my monthly plan. Are there any caveats about the Next plan that I should be aware of?

The 12 and 18 designations are NOT the number of months it takes to pay off the phone. It's 20 and 26 months respectively. So that changes the overall ROI in your equation. It's never cheaper to finance the phone through At&t...but if you want to NOT be under contract, it's really your only option if you want the new One.

When you all get your AT&T M8, could one of you post the available internal storage please? The Verizon M8 I played with today had just under 23gb available.

I received mine yesterday about 5 PM. It had 25gb available.

My phone is out for delivery, I'm happy I ordered from At&t now. Erwaso, from my experience you can disable most of the bloat on a At&t phone. It doesn't get removed but disappears from the app drawer. The main thing I don't like is At&t contacts, I use Google for my contacts and wish there was a way to stop At&t contacts from opening every time I open the contacts app.

Thanks qnet, I have an AT&T Optimus g and can disable most the junk but I'm curious if that has changed with kit kat or HTC or new AT&T phones In general :)

Nice! Can you disable any of the AT&T bloat?

yes you can! that's one of the first things I did. I disabled them and then if you're using the Sense launcher, you can hide the icon so you never see it. even though you disable them, you still see their widgets in the widget picker (stupid YP pages!) but that's not a big deal to me. I like that there's a search within the widget picker especially if you have a lot of apps installed.

Re: HTC One (M8): Now available at att.com

From what I read Verizon has exclusivity on selling the phone in store, as well as the silver color, until April 10th. Att, Sprint, and t mobile can only sell it online until the 10th
